Influential’s B2B teams scored a number of key thought leadership pieces following the result of the General Election 2019.
With the resounding Conservative majority, media were hungry for instant, incisive reaction from business leaders and sector experts on the impact of the victory.
On the day of the result, Influential’s team supporting business advisers, Grant Thornton, placed comment and analysis pieces across regional business media. Carl Williams, North West managing partner at Grant Thornton was quoted in a piece on opportunities for businesses after leaving the EU. This was picked up by Insider Media.
We also placed Yorkshire practice lead, Andy Wood, in a piece sharing his thoughts on the stability that a five-year majority government would bring to the playing field. This was featured on The BusinessDesk.com
Lastly we placed David Hillan, managing partner at the Birmingham office, in a thought leadership piece on the promises of the election result to UK businesses. This was picked up by Business Live.
Following polling day, our team secured stand-out coverage in The Express in an article on the Tories’ plans for ‘triple-lock’ pensions featuring Shoosmiths’ Paul Carney.
Laura Harris, PR Director at Influential commented, “It’s fantastic to have achieved so much strong coverage during an incredibly busy period. It is always beneficial to develop strong relationships with the media and be able to react speedily when major news events unfold. We were very mindful that regional media would be seeking commentary relevant to their audience, and worked closely with our clients’ in-house teams to add some regional context to the national reaction.”
