Brief

While working on the launch of Radisson RED’s latest hotel within the heart of Liverpool city centre, we were tasked with also bringing to market their partner restaurant, STOKE.

Challenge

Multiple restaurants already filling up the city and new ones were set to open in the same month as our client. So, we needed to create memorable content that would bring punters through the door.

Our next challenge was to make a Liverpool-based restaurant with RED in its name and make it feel like part of the region – not just one side of it.

We focused on the restaurant’s USP – which was cooking over a robata grill – and created a campaign that put our local people, produce and knowledge at the heart of it.

It wasn’t enough to simply hit ‘post’ on someone else’s pictures we were receiving second-hand information on. Instead, we became part of the Radisson RED and STOKE Restaurant teams in the lead-up to their opening.

This meant attending beer-tasting sessions, team training, chef cook-offs and launch parties – all strictly for business of course – to ensure we were capturing scrolling-stopping content.

Along with creating share-worthy competitions to help them make their mark on Liverpool’s expanding food scene.

Results

From zero to 2,500 followers, we continue to grow their Instagram followers by the day.

Our campaign also ensured bookings were full for opening week and we helped launch the venue to a resounding success. With RSVPs from influencers and local media attracting headlines from Daily Mail, Manchester Evening News, and The Liverpool Echo.
